Super Type Classifications
Although there are all manner of enhanced powers and abilities to be found within the Magellan universe, they can be broadly categorised into the following classifications:
Occult
Includes all practitioners of magical arts: witches, warlocks, sorcerers, wizards, shaman, occultists. The extent and nature of these occult powers will be covered in more depth soon.
g-n+ (gee-en plus/ gene enhanced)
Those born with abilities beyond what might be conidered normal due to natural or manipulated enhancements of their genetic code. Manipulated enhancement has been outlawed following various attempts to create super armies by certain crazed scientists. Physical appearance of a g-n+ can range from human to totally inhuman. Abilities may manifest from birth through to late age, although early teens is typical. Pre-natal testing determines the genetic status of the feteus and whether any specific precautions or procedures need to be followed to ensure the safety of mother, medical staff and infant. The extent and nature of abilities that may be present or manifest with g-n+ is considerably varied and will be covered in more depth soon.
ExTer (extra-terrestial/ alien)
All non-Earth born individuals (excluding those born on Mars colonies with a 100% Terran lineage). Currently there are 15 known sentient ExTer species, although only two are capable of living on Earth without some form of 'personal environmental support'. All species will be covered in greater depth later.
Tech-En
Individuals whose abilities have been enhanced through technological means (for example - radiation bombardment, biological manipulation, chemical inducement, mechanical enhancemnent).
Mechanoid
Any independently operating sentient (artificially intelligent) mechanism (for example, robot). Cyborgs that are more than 80% mechanical are considered Mechanoid.
Norm (normal)
Humans with no super enhanced abilities. Although rare, persons from this category can still qualify for Super-Agent status if they demonstrate a considerably high standard of physical and mental skills and stamina. The word is used by Norms as a point of pride, but by some non-Norms (especially g-n+) as an name of derision.
Mystic (extra-dimensional)
Those from the mystical realms or other earthly dimensions not usually transversed via technological means. Includes those from, for example, faerie, elven, goblin, vampyre, demon, angel, supernatural and demi-god realms.
Non-Sapien Terran
Several non-homo-sapien sentient species exist on Earth - almost all share certain genetic similarities with humans. Of these, four species are subterranean, two are acquatic and one is airborne.
